Turk Clay

David "Turk" I. Clay II is Of Counsel with Degan, Blanchard & Nash in the New Orleans office. Mr. Clay graduated from the University of Virginia in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond, where he graduated cum laude in 2011. Mr. Clay represents domestic insurers and the London Market on coverage claims involving a broad range of property, marine, professional liability, energy, environmental, general liability, construction, excess and umbrella policies. Mr. Clay also has experience defending vessel owners and operators against claims arising from personal injury, vessel collisions and cargo damage.

Mr. Clay is admitted to practice in all Louisiana State Courts, the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Mr. Clay is a member of the Maritime Law Association of the United States, the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute and is a board member of the UVa Club of New Orleans.
