As the Managing Partner, I oversee the firm’s operations, strategy, and growth, and I maintain an active defense litigation and insurance coverage practice. I have successfully handled numerous cases in state and federal courts, as well as alternative dispute resolution forums, involving complex and high-stakes matters. I have also counseled and represented several major insurers on policy interpretation, coverage analysis, defense obligations, and bad faith claims. Some of my notable achievements include securing a favorable verdict for a global insurer in a multimillion-dollar environmental coverage dispute, obtaining a defense verdict for a national retailer in a class action lawsuit alleging wage and hour violations, and successfully obtaining a defense verdict in the largest lawsuit seeking bad faith penalties of hundreds of millions of dollars filed against an insurance company in Louisiana. In addition to my legal skills, I also leverage my courts, torts, and insurance law knowledge to provide effective and efficient representation and counsel to my clients.

I was appointed by the Governor of Louisiana to serve as the Chairman of the Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board. I was sworn in and unanimously elected Chairman of the Mineral and Energy Board (the “Board”) in March, 2024. The Board is composed of the Governor, the Secretary of the Department of Energy and Natural Resources, and certain other members appointed by the Governor. The Board is the exclusive body with the authority over the exploration, development, and production of minerals, oil, and gas as well as the energy industry in the State of Louisiana. As Chair, I lead the Board’s stewardship of Louisiana’s natural resources and energy industry.
