Jackson Davis Logan III is Of Counsel in Degan, Blanchard & Nash’s Lafayette office. He brings more than fifteen years of legal experience representing clients in civil litigation, insurance defense, energy and environmental matters, regulatory compliance, and commercial disputes. His practice has included the defense of businesses and insurers in personal injury, transportation, environmental, and complex commercial litigation, as well as advising clients on risk management and operational issues.
Prior to joining Degan, Blanchard & Nash, Jackson served as an Administrative law Judge for the State of Louisiana and spent nearly seven years as an Assistant Attorney General in the Louisiana Department of Justice’s Lands and Natural Resources Section. In those roles, he handled a broad range of litigation, regulatory, and transactional matters involving energy development, environmental regulation, natural resources, property rights, and state agency representation. His experience in both the public and private sectors provides clients with a practical and strategic approach to resolving disputes and managing risk.
Jackson earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from The University of Texas at Austin, his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law, and his LL.M. in Energy and Environmental Law from Tulane University Law School. He is licensed to practice law in Louisiana and Florida and is admitted to all Louisiana state and federal courts.
