Bio

Kimberly Litel’s practice is in civil litigation representing state agencies, municipalities, and various governmental entities including statewide retirement systems in state and federal courts. Her practice focuses on governmental and public law, labor and employment matters, and complex civil litigation.

She brings additional litigation experience from her prior work representing insurers, policyholders, and plaintiffs in a wide range of civil litigation, including auto liability, premises liability, bad faith claims, and personal injury. Her diverse background shapes her approach to litigation, allowing her to evaluate matters from multiple perspectives, anticipate challenges, and develop strategies focused on effective resolution.

Kimberly is admitted to practice before all Louisiana state courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. She is a member of the Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit, the Louisiana State Bar Association, and the Baton Rouge Bar Association.
