Bio

Nick Danna is an associate attorney with Degan, Blanchard & Nash. His practice focuses on workers’ compensation matters, including both state and federal claims, as well as property and casualty defense litigation and admiralty and maritime law. Nick has been admitted to practice in all state and federal district courts in Louisiana.

Nick earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where he served as Longshore Conference Editor of the Loyola Maritime Law Journal and was inducted into the Order of the Barristers. During law school, he received the Outstanding 2L Award for his performance in the Magnolia Cup negotiation competition hosted by the University of Mississippi School of Law in Alternative Dispute Resolution. He also served as Communications Chair of Loyola’s Advocacy Center ADR Board, Secretary of Loyola’s Federal Bar Association, and President of the Tech and Business Law Society.

Nick received his undergraduate degree in Economics from Louisiana State University with a concentration in Empirical Economic Analysis and a minor in Business Administration.

While in law school, Nick served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Richard L. Bourgeois Jr. and the Honorable John W. deGravelles of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana. He also clerked with the Civil Litigation Division of the Louisiana Department of Justice, Office of the Attorney General, and with the Trials Division of the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office.

Nick is an active member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association, and Baton Rouge Bar Association.
